Are Video Games Really Dangerous?

I love playing video games. I think it is fun. I am 37 years old and I personally like the WW11 games. It seems as though I am really in a war and shooting up the enemy. I don't seem to have a problem with it. However, does there seem to be a certain age where it really can be dangerous to our children? Perhaps dangerous to their behavior?

I think it can be a problem. I know my sister doesn't want her kids playing the video games where there is cussing and blood and is rated. I suppose if there is a rating on it and not suitable for young kids then that should be OK. Would you then have to hide those video games so the young would not see it? I look at it as pornography or cigarettes. If you have it then hopefully you certainly would not want your children to see it or use it for their own liking. is it their a time to just stop buying it? Do you think if children (lets say ages 5-10) play it or see it then it could effect the behavior in the future? I think so. Same with the violent movies. I think that can effect them as well. Too much nudity and sex and violence. This sort of thing is all over the news and wonder if could be affected from video games? Maybe just a little bit?

If it is just a little bit then perhaps we need to stop buying the video games (If you have children). I don't have children yet and don't have little kids here. It hasn't affected me but then again everyone is different. Suppose I was depressed and played a "shoot em up game".Do you think perhaps I might use this a means to do harm to myself or others? Just because my state of mind is not right? These really are things to think about. I believe society as a whole is regressing or as some call it being "liberal". That in itself can be dangerous and another topic in itself!!
